These GTC become part of the contract between event participants, speakers, or purchasers and the Ökosoziales Forum upon registration (for participants) or acceptance (for speakers) of an event, or upon ordering a publication. Participants, speakers, or purchasers agree to these GTC.

1. Scope of these GTC

The general terms and conditions apply to events and/or publications of the Ökosoziales Forum Austria & Europe.

2. Event Registration

Registration can be done online via the website, by email, or depending on the event, also by phone. Further information can be found in the respective event details. The registration deadline is visible in the respective event details.

3. Payment of participation fee for events

In the event that an entry fee is payable, the exact payment terms can be found in the event details.

4. Cancellation of Registration

No course or cancellation fees will be charged for timely cancellations or no-shows for an event, unless explicitly stated in the invitation.

5. Organizational Changes/Cancellations

The organizer reserves the right to make changes to dates, start times, speakers, programs, venues, and to cancel events. In case of cancellations or changes to start times, registered participants will be informed in due time. Short-term cancellations/changes due to force majeure are excluded. No claims for compensation can be derived from cancellations or postponements.

6. Conclusion of Contract

The order, which can be placed by phone, email, or via the homepage, is considered a legally binding offer from the buyer to purchase the ordered goods at the stated price. Upon receipt of the order, the buyer will receive an email confirmation of the order and the availability of the ordered goods. The purchase agreement for the ordered goods is concluded when the confirmation of the availability of the ordered goods is sent.

Free copies of reports, brochures, and fact sheets, as well as a subscription to the denk.stoff newspaper, can be ordered by phone, post, or email, or for denk.stoff, via the corresponding form on the website.

7. Delivery of Goods

The goods ordered by buyers will be delivered without delay, and in any case within 7 days of dispatching the order confirmation and confirmation of availability of the ordered goods. Should one or more of the ordered goods be permanently unavailable, the Ökosoziales Forum may withdraw from the contract for these goods, which will be brought to the buyers' attention immediately. Available goods will generally be dispatched in a single delivery; however, should one or more of the ordered goods not be in stock (or available at the time of ordering), the Ökosoziales Forum is entitled to send the ordered goods to the customer in partial deliveries. In this case, shipping costs and expenses will be incurred for each partial delivery and may be invoiced per partial delivery.

When you subscribe to the denk.stoff magazine, the first delivery will be with the next issue following your order. Older issues can be ordered by phone, mail, or email.

8. Retention of Title

The Eco-Social Forum reserves ownership of the delivered goods until full payment of the invoice amount. In case of default in payment of the invoice amount by the buyers, the Eco-Social Forum is also entitled to withdraw from the contract by setting a reasonable grace period of 14 days. Notwithstanding this, buyers undertake to treat the goods with care and not to damage them until full payment of the invoice amount.

9. Right of Withdrawal

Buyers who can be considered consumers within the meaning of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act have – subject to the following restrictions – the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within seven working days (Saturdays do not count as working days) of receipt of the ordered goods by the buyer, without stating any reasons. In the event of exercising a right of withdrawal, buyers must return the delivered goods immediately and at their own expense to the Ökosoziales Forum and pay the Ökosoziales Forum reasonable compensation for the use, including compensation for the associated depreciation of the common value of the performance.

Your newspaper subscription can be canceled at any time by phone, mail, or email without providing a reason.

10. Prize

All prices shown include VAT at the statutory rate (or as otherwise indicated). In addition to these sales prices, shipping and postage costs will be charged at the actual amount incurred. The individual shipping of free printed materials will be at the expense of the Eco-Social Forum.

11. Disclaimer

The Ecoforum has compiled all information available in publications and on websites to the best of its knowledge and belief. However, no liability is assumed for the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of the provided information, unless the Ecoforum is guilty of intent or gross negligence.

Furthermore, the Eco-Social Forum assumes no liability for damage to or loss of personal belongings of participants or speakers. In all other respects, any liability exceeding the mandatory provisions of statutory damages law is excluded.

The use of devices and machines not provided by the Eco-Social Forum is only permitted with its consent. Those bringing such devices and machines are solely liable for any damage caused by their use.

No claims for liability can be made against the Ökosoziales Forum based on the knowledge gained from their events. Participation in events organized by the Ökosoziales Forum is generally at your own risk. The liability of the Ökosoziales Forum is limited to intent and gross negligence.

12. Damages

The inventory, premises, media, and equipment of the Eco-Social Forum, or those rented by it, must be used and handled with care. Participants and speakers are liable for any damages caused.

13. Photos/Videos

Photo and video recordings may be made at the events on behalf of the Ökosoziales Forum. The photos and/or videos taken may be used by the Ökosoziales Forum for publication and distribution in connection with the event without time or geographical limitations. By attending the event, participants agree to the free publication without the need for an express declaration by the person concerned. In any case, the consent includes the publication of the recordings in print media, on social media, on the websites of the Ökosoziales Forum, and distribution via the mailing lists of the Ökosoziales Forum as part of an event review.

In recordings that focus on individual people, participants have the right and the option at any time to inform the photographer or videographer that they do not wish to be recorded. If this is not possible or not taken into account (or cannot be), the Ökosoziales Forum commits to preventing publication if notified in writing within a maximum of two days after the event.

The speakers consent to the recording of photo and video footage, as well as its publication on social media, on the websites of the Ökosoziales Forum, and its distribution via the Ökosoziales Forum's mailing lists as part of the event review. They have the right to prevent publication by stating valid reasons.

14. Copyright Compliance

By submitting/providing the presentations, the speaker confirms that no third-party rights are infringed for all content/photos/graphics/illustrations used within the presentations and that the usage rights lie with the speaker or their company. These rights are also transferred to the Ökosoziales Forum for the use of the content/photos/graphics/illustrations in the context of the event review.

15. Data Privacy

Login System/Webshop

All personal details of registered users or participants will be treated as confidential. Participants and speakers agree to the automated processing of personal data for registration purposes and consent to contact for confirmation and inquiries. Contracting parties agree that personal data such as name, address, and email will be stored and consent to the sending of further information or invitations. Consent can be revoked at any time by phone, mail, or email.

By participating in a sponsored event, participants agree, by providing their LFBIS number, that personal data (first name, last name, age over/under 40, LFBIS number) will be stored for 10 years and transmitted upon request of the competent federal ministry, the EU, and other funding bodies for evidentiary purposes. For events recognized as continuing education for Animal Health Services (TGD) and for plant protection expertise certificates, participants agree that their data (first name, last name, date of birth, address, LFBIS number, TGD number) will be passed on to the competent authorities solely for the purpose of verifying compliance with mandatory continuing education hours.

Within our event offerings, functions and content of the service pretix, offered by rami.io GmbH, Markgräfler Straße 16, 69126 Heidelberg, Germany, are integrated. This includes the ticket shop, which is integrated via a JavaScript widget. When you purchase a ticket, pretix uses a technically necessary cookie to enable the ordering process and to remember which shopping cart belongs to you. The cookie is set as soon as you interact with the widget. pretix does not store IP addresses, browser information, or other unnecessary metadata beyond the duration of your request. 18. Exclusion of Events

If required to ensure the course or event objectives, Ökosoziales Forum Österreich & Europa is entitled to exclude participants from the event for objective reasons (e.g., disrupting the event, aggressive or destructive behavior towards other course participants or speakers/lecturers) without reimbursement of any participation fee. Exclusion includes the denial of admission to or expulsion from an event.

19. Membership

Membership in the association is open to: private individuals, legal interest groups, and professional associations, organizations or associations of business and labor, as well as environmental organizations, agricultural and forestry cooperatives and their associations, states, regions, and municipalities, universities, colleges, and their institutions, legal entities in agriculture and forestry, credit and insurance industries, industry, trade, and crafts, and their organizations, professors, lecturers, and assistants at universities, colleges, universities of applied sciences, and academies, employees of public administration, interest groups, and organizations related to the eco-social societal model, village renewal associations, and associations and initiatives for the promotion and implementation of the eco-social market economy.

Membership begins upon acceptance by the board of directors. Membership ends upon resignation, expulsion, non-payment of membership dues for two years despite reminders and a grace period of two weeks, or dissolution of a member organization; for natural persons, membership ends with death. Resignation must be declared in writing to the board of directors at least three months before the end of the fiscal year. It becomes effective at the end of the fiscal year. The board of directors decides on expulsion. The calendar year is considered the fiscal year.

Members may participate in the general meetings and have the right to vote and stand for election in accordance with the provisions of the bylaws. Members are obligated to pay the membership fee.

20. Jurisdiction

For any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions, Vienna shall be the agreed place of jurisdiction.
